Flomeo: Return to Omeo for a Clean Run and Progression Session

Flomeo is the signature blue-rated flow trail at Ride Omeo MTB Park, and for good reason. It is one of Australia’s longest air flow trails, offering nearly 6 kilometres of continuous descending, packed with more perfectly shaped jumps and huge berms than you can find anywhere else. The design here is spectacular, making it a dream ride for anyone looking to focus on progression and air time.

The statistics speak for themselves: the trail drops 480 metres and is an absolute blast from top to bottom. This was our return trip with a clear mission. Back at the start of the year, during one of my first attempts at the trail, I posted a video where I admitted to casing a lot of the jumps—it was a decent effort, but I knew I could do better.

With a couple more Omeo visits under our belts, we were back to specifically focus on and clean up Flomeo. This time, the run felt completely different. Hitting the jumps with more confidence and speed, we were flying over features that previously had us scrubbing or checking up. The combination of well-maintained jumps, berms, and a long descent makes it a true test of endurance and focus.

Although the trail starts with a little bit of a pedal to gain some elevation, the moment you cross the fire trail and drop into the flow is when the magic truly begins. Flomeo is undoubtedly one of our new favourites and a must-ride for any enthusiast. While we were there, we did check out the Difficult-rated Pendulum and revisited the trail formerly known as Crank Dog, now called Rowdy. Those demanding gravity lines will be coming up in future videos, but for now, the focus is all on the satisfying flow and jump progression found on Flomeo.

The park’s commitment to quality is clear, and it promises to be one of Victoria’s top destinations for years to come.
