Bakers Dozen at Silvan MTB Park is a steep, relentless climbing trail that pairs with Twisted Sister for one tough ascent. It’s a challenge many will become familiar with, not for the descent, but the brutal climb back up from the bottom of the trails. On this ride, I took the downhill route, a trail I hadn’t ridden before according to Strava. The landscape, reminiscent of Fred Williams’ paintings, brings out the stark beauty of the blackened Eucalypts against the green regrowth.
