Red Hill Skills Park is an ideal spot for beginner to intermediate mountain bikers to sharpen their skills. The park features two progressive tracks: an easy line and an advanced line, with elements like drops, a wooden berm, various jump levels, a dirt berm, rock garden, and a boardwalk with tricky turns and a skinny.

Getting There

Tucked away in the back of Red Hill South, follow Arthurs Seat Road from Dromana.

Continue along Arthurs Seat Road until you get to the t-intersection. You have two options for parking, at the cafés to the right where there’s parking out the front or you can turn left onto Shoreham/Red Hill Road and take an immediate left onto Station Road. The Red Hill Skills Park can be accessed by following the rail trail to the left, behind the cafés or, if parking at Station Street, crossing Red Hill Road and following the timber yard cyclone fencing, the skills park is just through beyond the bush path.

What to Expect

This one has a number of features where you can practice your riding skills.

It includes a table top jump that follows straight into a boarded berm, followed by three more jumps, another gravel berm and a boardwalk which has a wide and narrow option. It’s all over in around a minute with a milder kids option for those less confident.

If you’re looking to build your or your kids BMX or mountain bike riding skills than Red Hill Skills Park is a great place to visit.
