Day two of the @RockyTrailMedia Mt Buller Superflow. After completing the shuttle stage on day one, today we had to ride to the top of the trails.
My legs felt tired but strong and after a reasonably good night’s sleep I was ready for a day in the saddle. I camped in my van for the two nights that I was up at Mt Buller,. The first night’s temperatures were bitterly cold, the second night though was much milder.
Most riders spent Saturday night at the Kooroora hotel who were showing Hardline Tasmania on the big screen while enjoying a drink and a meal. I’d reserved a ticket for the movie night as well but after a big day I decided to call it a night after Hardline.
The pedal day was going to be hard after a full day of gravity so I followed @MikeReefyReefman lead and single run of Gang Gangs and Clancy’s and a double of Misty Twist. That was enough to warrant a decent rest and then head out again for a single lap of each after lunch.
I only saw improvement on the Gang Gang’s stage and wasn’t able to improve my times on the other two trails.
Overall my goal was to finish top ten which was easy for day two as only eight riders competed, but I achieved the same result against six competitors for the gravity event.
